La Chaire de recherche du Canada en patrimoine urbain de l’Université du Québec à Montréal accueillera le XVIIIème Congrès Mondial de TICCIH, titulé “Le patrimoine industriel rechargé“, du 28 août au 3 septembre, 2022.

From 28 August to 3 September 2022, the Canada Research Chair in Urban Heritage of the Université du Québec à Montréal will host the eighteenth TICCIH World Congress under the theme “Industrial Heritage Reloaded.”

More than 400 participants are expected from around the world.

Congress languages are French and English.

Sesión temática “Reinterpreting industrial heritage from a global perspective” y Mesa Redonda “Sharing industrial heritage glocally“, ambas organizadas por Marion Steiner (PUCV, Chile) y Dag Avango (TU Luleå, Suecia).

Además han sido aceptadas las propuestas de papers de dos integrantes del Laboratorio:
Karen Hoecker: “Gender violence as a manifestation of extractivism and industrialization processes”
Rodrigo Díaz: “Planned obsolescence and the industrial heritage of tomorrow: The case of Choapa Valley and Minera Los Pelambres, Chile”
