ANIH 2024 International Symposium: “Industrial Heritage in the World Heritage Context”

  • ANIH Online

Every 18 April is the International Day for Monuments and Sites (IDMS). The Asian Network of Industrial Heritage (ANIH) – an international collaborative platform supported by the BOCH (Bureau of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture, Taiwan) – will be holding its 2024 International Symposium World Heritage Keynote Series in response to marking the Day in 2024.

This year, one of the forum’s three thematic sessions is centered around Industrial Heritage in the World Heritage Context: Regional Conservation and the frameworks of UNESCO World Heritage tentative list. The event will take place online, starting at 10 AM (GMT+8).

Marion Steiner has been invited as a keynote speaker in order to share her insights and expertise regarding her work in Latin America and as TICCIH’s Secretary General. The proposed title of her presentation is: “The TICCIH Nizhny Tagil Charter: A critical review 20 years after its ratification.”

The detailed program of the symposium can be found on ANIH’s website and social media channels:
