Echoing the 2024 ICOMOS International Day for Monuments and Sites: “Disasters and Conflicts through the Lens of the Venice Charter,” the Asian Network of Industrial Heritage (ANIH) – an international collaborative platform supported by the BOCH (Bureau of Cultural Heritage, Ministry of Culture, Taiwan) – will host the “2024 International Forum on Cultural Heritage: Sustainability and Resilience” on April 18.

The forum invites experts and scholars from around the world to reflect on current issues, such as conflicts, disasters, and climate change. Through three sessions— 1. Representation and Interpretation, 2. Sustainability and Futures, and 3. Critical Review and Impact Assessment —the forum explores sustainable practices in preservation and the resilience and adaptability of cultural heritage in the face of contemporary challenges.

Prestigious professionals, including representatives from #UNESCO #whipic #TICCIH #HeritageFutures #UNESCOChairs #UNITWINNetworks and several experts from Taiwan, will join the forum. Marion Steiner has been invited in order to share her insights and expertise regarding her work in Latin America and as TICCIH’s Secretary General. Her presentation is titled: “The TICCIH Nizhny Tagil Charter: A critical review 20 years after its ratification.”

為呼應2024 ICOMOS文化紀念物及歷史場所國際日主題：「威尼斯憲章視角下的災難與衝突」，ANIH邀集國內外專家學者，共同反思當今衝突、災害及氣候變遷等議題。將透過三個主題場次：展現與詮釋、永續與未來、論證與影響評估，探討永續性的文化資產保護實踐方法，以及文化資產面對挑戰的韌性與能動性。

本次論壇邀請 #聯合國教科文組織 (UNESCO whipic) 研究中心、#國際工業遺產保護委員會 (TICCIH) 的秘書長及 #聯合國教科文組織 (UNESCO Chairs and UNITWIN Networks) 教席等，共7位重量級國際講者，國內外高手雲集，互相交流切磋，展開一場陣容豐富的文資盛會。
